We all want to have a great time here, so please follow the rules. They are here to let everyone have a good time, and to keep a little order in the forum.

Not following them might result in warnings, restrictions, deleting of posts/topics/pictures, and even getting banned from the site. Not following the rules is done on your own risk.

Starting out posting like you're ignoring all the rules will turn our eyes on you. If you do it too often, or violate the rules too bad, then don't be surprised to find yourself banned.

Once banned, you most likely won't get another chance.

*********************************************************
RULES

* Respect and obey the admin and the moderators. Our word is the law

* Respect the other members. Bullying or harassing other people is NOT allowed here.

* Read stickies! They often contain important information, and will usually answer most questions you might have.

* No "adult" content is allowed, whether it's pictures, downloads, discussions, and so on. Please keep everything PG13. If you don't feel you can show whatever it might be to your own children, or to your parents - then keep it off this forum too.

* No illegal stuff in any form, and no discussion of illegal stuff in any form AT ALL!

* Only one account per member. If more is discovered, you might find them deleted or blown up, and (unless you have a very good reason) you might end up being banned from the site.

* No spamming of any kind is allowed. Not in forums, and not as PM's. Spambots and accounts made for spamming will be shot and killed... erm... deleted right away, without warning.

* Please keep from double posting. There is an edit button under all your posts. There's also a search button in the top right corner - so try to keep off posting fifteen topics with the exact same theme.

* Don't bump topics unneccessary. Not allowed until the topics has reached at least the second page, or it's more than a month since the last post was made. (However - if you're posting a particularly long chapter of a story with lots of pictures, it might be a good idea to split it up into smaller parts in several posts (NOT different topics!), so the loading time is shorter. If you have your own forum space, you are allowed to "double post" after 24 hours in your own topics. These are the only exceptions).

* Do NOT hijack other people's topics. It's rude, and often makes things confusing.

* Post on topic. We don't need to know your full list of plans for the following weekend in a request topic (unless it's extremely relevant for the progress, of course).

* Post WCIF/"Where can I find" topics in the WCIF area (here: wcif-f35.html), NOT as PMs, in the various topics or in the shoutbox. From now on, such posts or messages will either be ignored or deleted, or recieve a warning if the point isn't taken. Do it often enough or annoyingly enough and it will earn you a ban.
-- If people post in the wrong places, please don't encourage them by linking to the items there. However, if the items can easily be found here at this site, you can point them in the right direction.

* Post requests in the request area (here: requests-f37.html), NOT as PMs, in various other topics, or as messages in the shoutbox. From now on, such posts or messages will either be ignored, deleted or earn you a ban (you get a warning, but that's it).

* Use clear titles for your topics - meaning NO "PLZ Heeeelp" or "can you make this?" or "look what I made!!!!" or "WCIF this". Titles like "WCIF this hair?" or "Blue dress for adult female" are much more likely to be answered, and are easier to find.

* No hotlinking of pictures allowed (don't copy image links from other sites and wrap IMG tags around). Upload the pictures to photobucket, tinypic or similar, so you don't steal other people's bandwidth.

* try to keep the picture size to maximum 600x600 pixles. If you've got larger pics, you can link to the larger picture under a smaller version of it.

*** Slightly bigger pictures are allowed - but only when necessary (Like getting a clear view of recolors when uploading downloads, or story shots that are unclear when small, or similar). Don't go over 800x600 or 600X800 pixles.

* Please use http://www.dropbox.com/, http://www.Mediafire.com, http://www.Box.net or another file hosting service instead of attachments when you upload files. Attachments makes the site run slower, so they are no longer available to use in download sections.

* Post in English, so that everyone can understand you. There are translators all over the net if you have troubles with english.

* Intelligent typing makes reading easier. All-caps, no caps at all, capitalizing all words, no punctuation, chat/leet speak and not even trying to spell words properly at all - these are equally annoying, and are the easiest to avoid. Not everyone reading this site are english speaking, and some may be English speaking, but have other reading difficulties. MEANING: No typing entire posts in ALL CAPS LOCK, or tyPinG lIkE yOu tHinK tHiS lOokS cOoL. No chat speak either (example: "um is ther ne way that i cud download a file cuz i cant use ne thing cud sum1 tel me wer 2 get it thx"). No excessive punctuation marks - meaning no sentences ending like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We don't require you to have a degree in English or the like, but try your best, OK? Punctuation and capital letters in sensible places, OK grammar and understandable words is enough. As long as we can understand you without eyes going crosswise, it's fine.

* No overuse of smilies (meaning no more than two smilies after each other). It's annoying and childish, and slows site loading time a lot. Please don't use smilies everywhere. 2-3 per short post is OK, but no more than 10 for long posts.

* We don't tolerate stealing of other people's creations. Please ask first or read any Terms of Use/Policies if you want to use or include other people's textures, meshes, or other types of creations, before posting anything. Borrowing or taking without asking is concidered stealing.

* use quote tags sparingly. DON'T quote entire posts, or posts with multiple pictures in them. If you absolutely have to quote pictures, sort out the one(s) you need. If you're only commenting a picture, please don't quote the picture, but write the name of the person instead.

* Remember - you're a guest at the forums, so act that way. Guests don't demand dessert before dinner, throw food at the walls or put dynamite in the mailbox. Use your common sense, so we can all be friends here.

* Breaking of the rules will result in warnings. Too many warnings, and it's straight out. Serious rule-breaking might earn you the boot straight away, or in the least limitations to your access to the forum. We don't want to throw anyone out, but we will do it if you can't behave. Post about warnings here.

* Being a new member is NOT an excuse for not using your common sense. If you've read the rules, you should already know how to behave here.

* We do have the right to edit, delete, lock, move and merge posts. Please respect this, and don't re-post anything unneccessary. Doing this might result in a warning (or worse, if we're in a bad mood).

* If you have other problems, disagree with any of the rules, or disagree with any action taken against you, you may discuss it via PM to one of the site administrators (Theraven) or modders (Current Mini-mods are Carenrose and Katie)

********************************************************
* and last - but not least - something to remember when you post in any forum: Cyber safety.
You never know who you might meet on the net, and it's too easy to pretend to be someone you're not. It's also easy to get tricked, especially if you freely give up your phone number, your address, photos of yourself, or anything else that can identify you easily. Even your E-mail isn't something you should give away easily (I have several E-mails myself - one for forums and such, and a few personal). Spambots are very likely to find the addresses if they're in a regular post.

If you don't know what I mean, or want to know more, read what these sites has to say about it.

********************************************************
If anyone wants their own area here - please contact us via PM, and we'll see if we can figure out something. Keep in mind that having your own area is a responsibility, and will require that you are active in that particular forum. Read here for more info.
********************************************************

Let's see... did I forget anything? well, if I did - then I'll just add it later.

Have fun here, and happy posting - but obey the rules and use common sense!
